Government Projects

New Maumee, Ohio, police station.
Construction began in late summer of 2004.

Project details:  AAC block was chosen as the building material for the third floor firing range of this new facility by the architectural firm of Horne and King.  The acoustical properties of AAC will provide the police station's nearby neighbors with an acceptable level of noise protection.  Also, the light weight of the AAC block allowed Horne and King to have the building engineered in a manner that required less roof support than would have been required with alternative materials.
